Funeral of Alan Poole

The funeral of Alan Poole will take place at 12:00 on Tuesday 3rd February 2015 at St Mary the Virgin Church in Shawbury Village. The service will be followed by Committal at the Shrewsbury Crematorium and a Wake in the Officers Mess at RAF Shawbury. All are welcome to attend either or both services. It is also strongly recommended that church service attendees are seated by 11:30.
The Family have requested that RAFA/RAF ties be worn in preference to black neckties and have requested “family flowers” only. Medals may be worn. “Donations in Memory” will be split between the British Heart Foundation and RAFA and a collection box will be available at the Church.
As the Wake will take place at RAF Shawbury and due to the current Enhanced Security State private car parking will be available opposite the RAF Shawbury main Gate. Visitors will be escorted from the Car Park onto the Station. Having some form of Photo ID may help expedite entry.
