Branch Vice-President has been appointed to the National Order of the Legion of Honour.   The Honour, (French: Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur), is the highest French order for military and civil merits was established in 1802 by Napoléon Bonaparte,  arrived in the post after the French Authorities decided to trace surviving members of the Allied Armed Forces who were involved in the D-Day Landings on Tuesday 6th June 1944.
